I’m feeling a bit under the weather the past couple of days and am also having some back/neck issues. This combined with a weekly forecast for all rain and ANOTHER super busy weekend has left me feeling completely drained today. I fell off the wagon this weekend with working out…I had the best of intentions but the overwhelming anxiety I’ve been having about my ever growing to-do list finally got the best of me. I got to do my back workout Friday night at 9:30pm (which I loved) but was wiped then so I missed the cardio. I was able to rationalize that because Jamie Eason says you can cut cardio down from 4 to 3 days a week if necessary in Phase 2 of LiveFit Trainer; however, then I also missed cardio on Saturday (I did get my arms and abs in though) and completely skipped legs on Sunday!! Terrible…I know, I feel sluggish and guilty. I can’t take all the blame for Sunday though, my husband talked me out of it because I was having this intense back/neck pain and he didn’t want me compounding it.
Last night I told my husband I didn’t care what it took, I was doing my full workout. I had a great chest and triceps workout and finished off with a half hour on the treadmill. Funny thing about working out when you’re sick…the best I’d felt all day long was during my workout! Friday will be the end of Phase 2 (thank God) of the LiveFit Trainer for me. I’m so excited for Phase 3! I can’t wait for the HIIT and active rests…the workouts sounds killer, but I think I’m ready! The end is in sight…I’m not sure how much progress I’ve made, visually anyway, but I feel so much stronger and more fit!
I didn’t get a chance to do much bulk cooking on Sunday since we were busy outside with landscaping planting most of the weekend. Even though I’m bummed about missing some workouts, I feel like we were really productive around the house, plus I got some extra quality time with my family, which is always a huge plus! But, that also means that I’m struggling trying to grab my meals for the week. Tonight is rest day for me and I have an appointment after work but hopefully can find some time to prep some veggies tonight!
