Ugh, I just realized I haven’t posted since last Wednesday…what a terrible blogger I am! Welp, I hope everyone had a nice weekend…I sure did…busy..but nice! Here’s how it went.
Impromptu half a night out on Thursday to meet some friends for a birthday (that’s me in the middle)..I was the only idiot that had to work the next morning plus it was about 210 degrees in the bar so I headed home early, but it was nice to see some friends. Friday morning I got a nice surprise when I saw that A Dash of Meg included me in her High Five Friday post…if you’re not reading these, you should be…I’ve been reading it before I start work on Fridays and it puts me in a great mood! Friday night we went to a friend’s house for our kids to play.
Saturday we had some friends over to our house and Sunday we went to my Aunt’s to celebrate my little (not so little anymore) brother’s 15th birthday! Wooo…lots of fun, but completely exhausting! Thankfully my sister took my kids to my Aunt’s with her a bit early so I could get some housework/bulk cooking done! I made Blueberry Coconut Protein Bars, Jamie Eason’s Monster Meatloaf, Stuffed Peppers (recipe on Good Eats tab), a sh*tton of quinoa and I tried Little B’s Salsa Chicken-ish (I left out the tomato sauce, added some extra onions and seasoning).
As much as I enjoyed good times this weekend, it appears as though my pants are a bit more snug the past few days. I did make the healthiest choices possible throughout all these shindigs with an indulgence here and there, of course! But I’ve been feeling weird ever since…I think part of it is mental. Since I’m not on a regimented program anymore I think I feel lazy somehow. Anyway, I feel like I’ve been more relaxed than usual with my nutrition and I need to firm it back up. My stomach has been feeling weird and super bloated, I’ve been sleeping horribly and its really starting to bug me. Thank God I have off tomorrow!
Here is the short Crossfit workout (on workout page also) that I did last night. I really liked it but my legs were still sore so the squats were killing me and I think I probably should have used a little more weight for the bench and rows. I’m still kind of trying to find my way with some of our new gym equipment now that I can get back to lifting a little heavier. I had an unexpected forced rest day today so I think I’ll pick back up tomorrow with Back/Bi.
