Shake It Up Baby!

Wanted to share my newest PWO love!  Cherries!!  Cherry is seriously my favorite flavor of, well, just about anything I guess.  I went to the grocery store last week and there they were just staring at me, the prettiest most perfect little cherries I’d ever seen!  I’ve read  some lately about cherries and their healing PWO properties such as these:


  • possibly reduce muscle damage and pain associated with exercise
  • enhance muscle recovery
  • can allow your muscles grow back bigger and stronger

Sounds good, right?  Well, I’ve been making this yummy pink shake after my workouts ever since and I’m in love!


Ingredients:
1/3 c. pitted cherries
1 cup water
1/2 c. unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop vanilla whey
1 tsp glutamine powder
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 tbsp ground flaxseed
1/2 frozen banana
1 tbsp organic old fashioned oats

Directions:
Just add all ingredients, blend and enjoy!
