WIAW & New Workout

Oh My Gawd…I seriously canNOT believe it is [more than] halfway through July already! Where does the time go?  Plus it’s Wednesday too…you know what that means??? Yup.  What I Ate Wednesday, with my fav foodie, Jenn (and by fav I mean the girl who I’m cursing all day long for making me drool all over my desk anytime I see her blog or Instagram posts)!  



Here’s my eats…can’t wait to read all of yours!


M1 – 2 slices of Ezekiel raisin toast with coconut oil.  Then I drank some ACV concoction by Vanilla Bean Lean.  I usually just drink about 2 tsp in the morning with a bunch of water and some warm lemon water first thing, but she has a different idea so I’m going to try this for a while!  Then I had my BCAA’s during my workout.  PWO I had an egg white omelet with fresh salsa and a sprinkle of turkey sausage and this heavenly pumpkin pie protein shake.  I wasn’t planning on it, but came across a can of pumpkin in the cabinet and boy am I glad I did…it was delish!  

M2 – My turkey chili quinoa bisque.  Looks gross, tastes anything but.  Just a cup of turkey chili (I’ll be posting my recipe this week), 1/2 cup of quinoa and 1/2 cup of plain, nonfat greek yogurt (I add that after I heat it up) and stir! 

M3 – Stuffed peppers again with a side of quinoa.  Can’t get enough of these bad boys…..

M4 – Salmon kebabs (also, again) with grilled veggies.  So summery, and I’m gonna do it again this weekend!!

M5 – FAB seared scallop salad that I posted on Instagram over the weekend…if you follow me, you can find the recipe there…if you don’t then you should :)  

M6 – 1/2 cup of nonfat cottage cheese (not pictured)

As for fitness, I’ve been doing new workouts this week…today was shoulder/calf/abs day (yay) and this is what I did…

    I do have a smoothie I make for breakfast every morning. In fact I really never eat a normal breakfast. My smoothie usually includes, Almond Milk, Berries, Spinach, Kale, Carrot, Miso, chia seeds, oat bran, quinoa, bcaas, spirulina powder, chocolate mint leaves, and Naked Juice Green machine. Btw I love that you take BCAAs something more females out there should start taking.

      Thanks Alex, I’ll thank Jamie Eason for the BCAA tip!! I love them, they’re actually a treat for me, but I’d like to find some that don’t contain artificial sweetener…perhaps the plain flavor wouldn’t, I’ll have to check that out!

    I found a recipe that for the same amount of quinoa you mentioned, you add 2 cloves of minced garlic, basil, and 1/2 c of shredded parmesan cheese. It’s pretty tasty.
