Another weekend here and gone so quickly (yes, I realize the next one is almost here already) But I have fallen into fall for sure! The weather is a bit cooler, I’m finally finding my groove with sports, school and the other 12,398 things that demand our time (and yours, I’m sure). We had a jam packed weekend, much like every other and I’m happy to say that I think I finished everything on my list except for my workout….waa waa.
Friday I arrived home to this beautiful sight! One of my favorite companies Quest Nutrition, sent me a box of their bars to sample and review. So stay tuned for that! Saturday just turned into a cluster-you-know-what so I deemed it into a rest day and planned on hitting the gym on Sunday. Sunday also turned out to be jam packed with cleaning, cooking. laundry etc. and since my husband got stuck at work on Saturday we decided to just have some family time. Sometimes that happens, I’m just trying to go with the flow. I felt like a slacker but you know what? The world didn’t end because I didn’t work out one whole weekend. I didn’t gain 10 pounds overnight, I didn’t lose all my strength, and my health didn’t suffer. No big. I could have probably fit it in if I reallllllly wanted to. But to be honest, I didn’t reallllly want to. So there.
What did we do? Friday we made some amazing doughnuts, some homemade applesauce and some frozen yogurt pops! I love cooking with my kids, especially my daughter. It’s kind of our thing. My husband is much better at the “pretending” stuff, I’m better at just doing stuff along with them.
Then I had some time with the girls, didn’t stay out too late and not too many cocktails for me…just vodka waters with my True Orange & True Grapefruit…tried to stay on track a little…also stashed some Quest bars in my purse for when I got hungry, which of course I did! We had a good time a bunch of laughs like usual…good for the soul!
We bought my little one a new bike. I think he’d sleep on this bike if we’d let him! It was pouring here all day yesterday and so he rode it in circles around the garage!
I hope everyone else had a great weekend and now for the good stuff…FOOD!
I cannot believe it is seriously October already!! Jenn has another great theme for October..and like usual, my eat have absolutely nothing to do with that theme…I’m a mess, I swear.

Breakfast was very quick, just this unglazed pumpkin doughnut I made last night, was glad to have them since I was in a rush after the morning debacle today, which you can read about on my Instagram or my Facebook page. I also had 2 slice of cinnamon toast on Udi’s Gluten Free bread (my fav) before my workout but forgot to take a pic! I’ve been cutting out my beloved coconut oil since I’m trying to lean out so I’ve been giving it a quick spritz of non stick spray just to help the cinnamon & stevia stick on!

what a white bedtime snack! all yummy though! i have yet to try those bars but i have only heard good things.
Soo good, Alex!
Wasn’t that just the best package?!! I almost cried when I got mine
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! My eats never correspond with the theme, either. haha
The best! Only problem is now I can’t stop eating them
I’ve never tried a Quest bar before, but the flavors look pretty yummy!
So yummy! Can’t wait till our date
